In the event of a severe flood, current infrastructure is at risk of withstanding harsh conditions. Below is an analysis of specific public transit routes that will be most impacted given Pierce County's flood data. The impact ranged from minimal (0.1%- 10%) to severe (20%-30%) of the total route being compromised due to flooded transportation routes.

In the South Sound, only transit routes that will be impacted by flooding based on this analysis are shown. Bus routes designated in green have the least amount of damage, ranging from 0.1% to 10% of the route flooded. The next level of impact is designated in yellow, which ranges from 10.1% to 20%. And the routes most severely impacted by flooding are red, analysis ranging from 20.1% to 31%.
